IATSE Local 856 is a labour union that represents the specialty artists and technicians who work in film and television production in Manitoba. We offer an introduction to IATSE Local 856 course that introduces you to the world of filmmaking, along with the dos and don’ts of working on set.
This course is mandatory for anybody looking to become a permittee and is strongly recommended to anyone else looking for a career on set in the film industry.
